Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, consolidations, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team; ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements and management reports for multiple entities and investment vehicles.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Partner with leadership on investment analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Support due diligence, acquisitions, and divestitures within the real estate and energy portfolios.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including time in public accounting and private industry.
• Strong understanding of real estate and/or energy accounting principles.
• Proven ability to manage multi-entity structures and complex investments.
• Hands-on leader comfortable in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with ownership and external stakeholders.
• Advanced user of Excel and have project management and system upgrade or implementation experience.
