Reporting to: Director of Development and External Relations

Job Description:

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited, to:

Updating and maintaining accurate electronic records for our community of c.19,000 alumni, parents, staff and friends

Recording and processing all gifts received on the database in a timely manner, ensuring Donors receive stewardship as per agreed protocols

Reconciling gifts on a monthly basis, in liaison with the Account Office

Ensuring Gift Aid is claimed on all appropriate gifts on at least a bi-annual basis

Setting and maintaining data management standards and refining existing processes and policies.

Undertaking prospect research and assisting the Director of Development and External Relations with prospect management

Recording and updating all incoming & outgoing students and parents on a termly basis, in liaison with our IT Manager.

To periodically cleanse and audit data to ensure it remains comprehensive and consistent.

Supporting the office with the running of events by sending invitations, recording bookings, preparing attendance lists, name badges, seating plans etc. and attending

Supporting the Communications Manager with accurate mailing lists for our publications.

General office administration including responding to enquiries by post, phone and email, maintaining stationery levels, and other administrative duties as required.

Undertaking other reasonable duties deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Development Office commensurate with the grade and scope of the role.

Creating and generating reports for Gift Aid submissions, gift reports, stewardship reports, prospect research reports etc. under the direction of the Director of Development and External Relations.

Undertaking any other duties of a similar nature as required.


  • Salary: Circa £28,000 per annum dependent on experience.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.
