Description

Enhance office and team effectiveness by providing support related to day-to-day operations of office systems, accounting and data management related to managing the Amtrak Downeaster and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.   

Responsibilities:

  • Support staff by contributing administrative efficiencies in office management and assisting in developing and maintaining reporting systems as needed.
  • Produce reports and data management for a variety of operational functions and projects on a regular and ad hoc basis. 
  • Assist with the development of systems to streamline data collection, storage and reporting.
  • Maintain files, data management systems and administrative technologies.
  • Assist with accounts payable and other accounting functions.
  • Develop and maintain document control and tickler systems. 
  • Undertake other administrative tasks and projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years if experience in administration or systems management and working with strong computational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors
  • Proven working experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, detail orientation, and mastery of Microsoft Office (including EXCEL), and other statistical, accounting or reporting packages.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information clearly with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to make independent decisions and to seek out new methods to incorporate into existing practices when applicable.
  • Eagerness to participate in a team environment and actively interested in learning from challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to handle stress and deadlines.
