Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist assists the Director of Human Resources with all areas of benefits, compensation, and HRIS.  This role assists with the day-to-day benefits administration, and with the annual open enrollment process.  The HR Generalist serves as the first-line contact for employee benefit questions, and researches and provides accurate and timely response.  This role will research compensation for managers when requested to ensure compensation is in line. Assists department with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of UKG (HRIS), including entering data, verifying accuracy of data, developing reports, and working with employees to train users and troubleshoot user issues or concerns, as needed.  The HR Generalist will also be involved with other HR duties as needed.

Job Duties Include:

  • Reviews and approves all life events. 
  • Ensures that carriers are updated with changes and integrations between carriers and UKG are working correctly.
  • Work with carriers to ensure correct eligibility such as EOI approval with Lincoln or Voya eligibility for claims.
  • Participate in and provide input to annual activities (401k audit, benefit contract renewal, open enrollment, etc.).
  • Provide interpretation and application of leave programs to employees. 
    • Manages leave process including coordination of company provided leave with state provided leave.  Ensures payroll has accurate pay information for leave.
    • Manages PTO plans in HRIS to ensure accuracy for finance.
  • Complete benefit reconciliation for Cigna, VSP, Voya, and Lincoln and send allocations to Accounts Payable.  Also reconcile Delta Dental.
  • Assist with merit increases and incentive/bonus payouts.
  • Research compensation for managers regarding promotions or increases and makes recommendations to managers on compensation.
  • Performs compensation analysis on positions and participates in surveys as needed.
  • Serves as primary administrator of UKG (HRIS) including configuration and business rules.
  • Assists with the administration of security roles, system lock and reset, PTO balances, time clock punches, and other user inquiries.
  • Assists with management of UKG dashboard, including posting employee benefits information.
  • Update company establishments within UKG.
  • Work with Director on filing EEO, ACA, VETS, and other government reporting.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned by Human Resources.
  • Assist with AWE (Awesome Work Environment) activities such as monthly birthday announcement and event planning.
