Role Summary
The Asset Specialist will provide support for the organization's computer users. This position will be responsible for providing instructions to end users, repairing hardware and software malfunctions, and performing desktop system installations and upgrades. Document resolutions to known issues. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
ASSET SPECIALIST FAMILY - CORE
- Acquires, coordinates, and tracks assets across the technology asset life cycle.
- Serves as the liaison between the IT department and Accounting for asset tracking, depreciation, and disposal of computers and/or mobile and desk phones.
- Manages distribution and support of end user mobile devices by working directly with IT cell phone administrator, and provides instructions regarding proper use of hardware and software systems as they are deployed to end users.
- Conducts regular audits of end user assets and mobile devices and suggests or directs action items to correct discrepancies.
- Creates in-depth documentation of processes and system configurations.
- Creates and assigns work orders in the IT ticketing system, and documents resolutions.
- Performs hardware and software repairs, maintenance, and upgrades and maintains asset records.
- Researches new desktop hardware and software and performs testing on potential configuration changes.
- Maintains records of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions taken and installation activities.
- Serves as liaison between the manufacturer's support representative and the end user.
- Coordinates technical aspect of office moves. Leads, supports and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn. Understands JE Dunn's policy of non-discrimination and ensures positive, proactive implementation throughout the organization.

- Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner

- Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced)

- Thorough knowledge of personal computer software including operating systems
- Thorough knowledge of PC components and associated hardware
- Ability to solve technical issues
- Knowledge of networking and telecommunications
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
Education
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field (Required)
- In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
- 0 -2 years previous help desk or desktop experience (Preferred)
