Description
CiT Coordinator FABLE Overnight Camp aka "Monster Wrangler"
The Counselor-in-Training Coordinator helps direct our Leadership and Counselor-in-Training Program for our age 15-17 youth. In this program, our CiTs learn the specific skillsets we use to entertain and educate our campers, including: theatrical design, acting, game design, makeup, costuming, camp counseling, mentoring, and teaching. Due to our unique nature as an educational LARP (live-action, roleplaying) camp, one of the additional roles of our CiTs is playing the "monsters" that our heroes get to battle against. Our CiT coordinator also doubles as our "monster wrangler".
The coordinator for this program will help design and implement the training for the campers using pre-existing programming and support from the admin team. The coordinator will work with our camp director, logistics director, and counselors to see that our CiTs have support, feedback, and hands-on training. The CiT coordinator will work as a liaison between the admin positions and the CiTs to ensure feedback is delivered in a constructive manner. Prior experience working as a supervisor, camp counselor, and mentor to teens is preferred.
The CiT Coordinator is also given a limited number of hours leading up to camp (remote) to research, update, and familiarize themselves with our existing curriculum as well as coordinating communication with CiTs pre-summer.
Compensation:
- $475 per week base (higher starting pay for those with previous camp experience)
- Up to 40 hours before summer paid at $20 to prepare for summer role
