About Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the philanthropic heart of the Broadway community. Money raised by Broadway Cares funds organizations across the country that provide lifesaving medication, healthy meals, counseling and emergency assistance for those in need and crisis. Broadway Cares is the single largest financial supporter of the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), helping everyone in entertainment and the performing arts. Broadway Cares also awards annual grants to more than 450 food pantries, meal delivery organizations, health clinics, emergency assistance programs and other social service organizations in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., helping those living with HIV/AIDS and facing other debilitating illnesses.
About this Career Opportunity
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS seeks a dynamic fundraiser to join our development team to support, administer and help expand an exciting, fast-growing corporate partnerships program.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding storyteller and communicator who is detail oriented, ambitious and creative. This person will play a key role in building and strengthening our corporate partnership program and facilitating bespoke partner events. Additionally, they will have front-facing responsibilities with both partners and members of the Broadway community.
This person will grow with the team and help us realize the full potential of the corporate partnership program. The corporate development coordinator will report to the senior partnerships officer and work closely with members of the development and communications teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with senior partnerships officer to develop, strategize and implement growth of corporate partnership program in order to increase fundraising for Broadway Cares
- Leverage and expand a strong network of corporate contacts to cultivate, steward and grow impactful partnerships
- Draft and edit partnership and sponsorship proposals, presentation decks, recap reports and letters of agreement
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Broadway industry including productions, talent and key stakeholders to inform and strengthen partnerships
- Bring hands-on fundraising experience and a strong understanding of corporate giving and sponsorship strategy
- Manage, maintain and update partnership assets, including presentation decks, one sheets and digital collateral (e.g. video links)
- Assist with generating a set target of qualified leads to establish valuable, long-term relationships across a range of potential partners to meet and exceed financial goals
- Engage with corporate partners and prospects to help craft bespoke collaborations that fulfill the needs of the partner while fundraising for Broadway Cares
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact for select corporate partners, ensuring seamless communication and stewardship
- Support event planning, logistics and on-site needs for corporate activations and special engagements
- Understand and feel comfortable leading and moderating panels and discussions with Broadway talent, industry leaders and other stakeholders, ensuring engaging and professional experiences for partners
- Coordinate benefits for event sponsors
- Create and manage budgets for maximum net revenue
- Identify and attend key networking events and functions
- Coordinate and cultivate corporate volunteer participation in Red Bucket fundraising and other team volunteer projects
- Perform other relevant duties as needed to support senior partnerships officer and corporate partnership goals
- Participate with the entire Broadway Cares staff in large annual and smaller one-time events, and in facilitating audience appeals for two annual six-week fundraising periods, which take place in the evenings and on weekends

- 2+ years of experience in front-line fundraising, corporate partnerships or business development
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively while simultaneously being solution-oriented to drive results
- Proven ability to drive fundraising/sales and forge lasting relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and pivots
- Impeccable time-management skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including mail merge and Outlook) and Google Drive (including slide presentations, forms, sheets and docs)
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT, Donor Drive or similar databases a plus
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and think on your feet
- Strong knowledge of and affinity for Broadway theater and greater entertainment industry
- Understanding of and commitment to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ mission
- Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed
- Personal drive and initiative
- Willingness to be a team player, assisting and supporting as needed
