Requirements
Responsibilities
Assisting rental customers in person or over the phone with equipment selection.
Preparing rental contracts and explaining fees, terms, and safety instructions.
Verifying insurance/tax exempt status & collecting all associated documents.
Scheduling deliveries and pickups.
Answering customer questions and resolving issues related to rentals.
Inspecting equipment prior to and when returned from rent, noting damage, documenting issues.
Maintaining an organized showroom & counter - updating signage, keeping inventory of accessories/PPE/etc., flagging low inventory levels.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales calculations
Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to demonstrate products effectively and confidently to diverse customers
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing stock levels and displays
Qualifications
1-3 years experience in equipment rental, construction supply, or tool rental.
Familiarity with common construction machinery/tools and light equipment (e.g. compactors, lifts, generators, etc.).
Comfortable with rental/point-of-sale software, strong data entry proficiency.
Clear, professional customer service interaction; confident explaining safety and operating basics.
Ability to lift 50lbs, stand/sit/squat, work in garage/yard environments.
Extras: CDL or Forklift certification, local contractor network
