Description
The City of Alamosa is seeking a Full-Time Finance Director to perform planning, directing, and coordinating of the fiscal management for the City of Alamosa. This position coordinates and oversees the development of the City’s annual budget; projects available revenues and expenses and communicates financial status to the City Manager and department heads. Manages payroll, utilities, sales tax, and accounts payable.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
2. Five years of progressive accounting experience.
3. Supervisory experience preferred.
4. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate preferred or attainable within 2 years.
5. The GFOA's Certified Public Finance Officers (CPFO) certificate is highly desirable.
