Detailed Job DescriptionReporting to the Physician Assistant Program Director, the Accreditation Coordinator will have duties and responsibilities split between program accreditation (50%) and teaching (40%) with some service to the program (10%) as well. The Accreditation Coordinator for the Physician Assistant Program is responsible for ensuring compliance with all ARC-PA accreditation standards and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
The Accreditation Director for the Physician Assistant Program is responsible for ensuring compliance with all accreditation standards and requirements. The role includes but is not limited to:
- Ensuring the PA Program adheres to all accreditation standards set forth by ARC-PA..
- Preparing and submitting required reports, documentation, and self-studies in accordance with accreditation timelines.
- Serving as the primary liaison between the program and accreditation agencies.
- Assisting in continuous program evaluation and improvement efforts to maintain accreditation standards.
- Developing and implementing accreditation policies and procedures.
- Monitoring changes in accreditation requirements and ensuring program compliance.
- Providing training and guidance to faculty and staff on accreditation-related matters.
- Maintaining organized and up-to-date records related to accreditation and compliance.
- Collaborating with institutional leadership to align accreditation efforts with broader strategic goals.
- Facilitating site visits and responding to accreditation inquiries.
- Identifying and addressing areas for improvement based on accreditation feedback.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in accreditation processes within a healthcare education setting.
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external agencies.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the college's continuing commitment to individual differences.
Department/College Description
The College of Health Sciences and Technology is the center for both clinically-related and biomedical research-based innovative, flexible programs to meet both present and future needs of the health care system. Building on a foundation of liberal arts and basic sciences, students will gain advanced knowledge in theoretical science and practical applications in experiential learning environments. These experiences will prepare students to serve humanity as practitioners, scientists, and leaders through their contribution to, and the provision of, high quality patient care, healthcare service, and/or applied translational biomedical research. The college offers undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Sciences, Global Public Health, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Exercise Science and Nutritional Sciences; a BS/MS degree in Physician Assistant studies; and graduate degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition, Health Systems Management, Medical Illustration and Occupational Therapy.
