JOB SUMMARY:

The Packaging Coordinator position will report to the Repair Center Manager and also interacts greatly with the parts department. This position is responsible for ensuring packaging projects are started and executed in a clear, precise and timely fashion. The Packaging Coordinator must be very detailed, organized, and able to meet deadlines. The person in this position must work with many different groups and build relationships both internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Preparing documentation to begin package development and track progress to ensure deadlines are met.
• Contact suppliers and / or vendors to collect and gather all necessary package and product specifications, printing information, limitations, etc.
• Follow up on pending information from suppliers and / or printers, i.e. missing specification information, cost estimate agreements, feedback on routing of proofs, and invoices, etc.
• Careful proofing of all package design proofs.
• Organize, route and facilitate approvals on all proofs throughout the design process (design brief, initial concepts, mechanicals, film proofs).
• Assign and manage GTINs and UPCs.
• Manage compliance and communication.
• Monitor and manage compliance with current packaging regulations in both the United States and Canada (including Quebec)
• Maintain a library of obsolete packaging. Archive packaging.
• Work with trade marketing to make sure all current packaging designs are used in ads and trade communications.
• Work with marketing to make sure all current packaging/product images are to date and properly placed on mannsales.com and the internal network.
• Work with trade marketing to coordinate communication with sales on packaging swap outs/changes. Management of timelines.
• Manage all RPC and carton design and compliance issues.
• Monitor and manage sustainability trends in packaging
• Monitor documents for product identification compliance, part number accuracy, etc…

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma
• 1 to 2 years of experience in packaging environment is preferred
• Able to read, write and speak English
• Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Inventory, data entry and computer skills required
