OverviewFred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

Oversees day-to-day clinical pharmacy operations to ensure quality, safety and efficiency. Works in conjunction with the clinical operations manager to assure the provision of high quality, evidence-based patient and family centered care by supervising clinical pharmacists and supporting pharmacy practice.
This is a Full Time role working Monday thru Friday at our South Lake Union Campus.
Responsibilities
- Hiring, training, supporting, disciplining and evaluating clinical pharmacy staff.
- Assist in policies and procedures SOPs, and patient education development.
- Assist in goal setting for the clinical service in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and work towards achieving goals.
- Assist in regulatory compliance and quality improvement efforts.
- Further the practice of pharmacy within the clinical service by using current evidence to support change through committee and project work
- Establish and maintain efficient lines of communication between pharmacists, physicians, nurses and other members of the health care team.
- Participate in pharmacy and hospital committees as requested.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs for pharmacy services, including, but not limited to, prevention of medication errors.
- Perform drug utilization evaluation and cost containment analyses, as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- 4 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist or 2 years as a Lead Pharmacist or in an equivalent supervisory capacity
- State of Washington Pharmacist License
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven project management skills and committee experience
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (EMR, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work under pressure related to work/time deadlines
- Ability to provide feedback about staff performance to staff
- Strong teaching ability
- Ability to lead committees
The annual base salary range for this position is from $172,911.00 to $288,142.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship at this time.
This is a Full Time role working Monday thru Friday at our South Lake Union Campus.
