Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Clinical Specialty Coordinator to help support Surgical Documentation in the Simon Family Tower Operating Rooms. This role works Monday-Friday, Day shifts. No weekends or holidays!

Position Overview:
The RN Clinical Specialty Coordinator coordinates a service line of care for a similar patient population of high acuity patients within their department. Responsibilities include extensive assessment and clinical judgment of physiological health care, monitoring the status and providing an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the health care team. Serves as the clinical expert to assigned staff and is a strong unit leader and performs unit and system leadership activities as necessary to support the specific service line. Applies advanced clinical knowledge of the specialt. Responsible for developing a core curriculum, in conjunction with the clinical educator and system education, for the service line and oversees orientation of new staff and on-going staff education and evaluation of these programs within the service line. Acts as a role model, resource person, and member of the management team as well as keeping the organization Inc. Mission and Vision at the forefront of all patient care and system activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Chart Auditing/Charges
- Tissue Tracking
- Supply Chain Oversight, including backorder/recall/quality management
- Work closely with the OR financial team on product/equipment maintenance and availability
- Annual Equipment Checks and Contract Management with collaboration with OR finance team
Qualifications:
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Knowledge of Oracle, Wavemark, Lumere, Vendormate preferred.
- OR and Chart Auditing experience is preferred.
