Required License/Registration/CertificationN/APhysical RequirementsActivities related to sitting, standing, lifting less than 50 lbs, and computer work.ShiftVariableJob SummaryThe International Public Policy & Management Institute (IPPMI) Student Assistant plays a vital role in helping international professionals participating in the IPPMI program transition to life in the United States and engage within the UK campus community. This position provides support, promotes cultural exchange, and contributes to a welcoming environment. The IPPMI Student Assistant serves as a friendly resource for IPPMI participants, helping them navigate academic, social, and cultural challenges during their time at the university. The IPPMI Student Assistant will assist in updating resource guides/online resources, navigating U.S. customs, social norms, and daily life.

The International Public Policy and Management Institute (IPPMI), housed at the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, is the first educational institute established at the University of Kentucky to provide international professionals with various opportunities to advance themselves as global experts. The Institute links the academic and professional expertise of faculty, researchers, and alumni to the needs of international professionals in business, government, and public organizations around the world.
