Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction & Surety Team at Marsh. This role is based in Montreal and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.As a Surety Client Representative, you would provide administrative assistance to the Surety business unit, supporting the delivery of required client services in a timely, efficient and professional manner. You are responsible for administration associated with issuing surety bonds, maintaining and updating databases, ensuring they are accurate and current. Other duties may include but are not limited to research, proof reading, data entry, filing, typing, scanning, photocopying, and organizing supplies.
We will count on you to:
- Assist in day-to-day administration operations associated with issuing surety bonds. Ensure accuracy and timely issuance of client documentation including bonds, prequalification letters, renewal certificates, invoices, endorsements.
- Work in partnership with client executives to ensure approval of bonds. This includes collection of information and presentation to sureties and clients.
- Support in data management and maintenance.
- Prepare bond costing for tenders, & final bonds (contract/commercial). This includes but is not limited to primary & pro-rated return/additional premium costing.
- Provide support in conducting primary and secondary research with client executive on behalf of clients (ie. pulling bond liabilities reports, collection of financial information, etc).
- Create client files and updates filing documentation as required.
- Maintain proper records for reporting and audit purposes.
- Ensure all documents are current and correct.
- Maintain electronic file system for scanned bonds & email documentation.
- Prepare correspondence/reports/other documents as needed with guidance from client team.
- Collaborate internally to identify and resolve information gaps in key account data.
- Adhere to company procedures and data integrity standards.
- May handle the mail service/liaise with couriers.
- Comply with Marsh Excellence and Professional Standards to ensure quality service to all clients.
- Spreadsheets, Word documents and database management (NPT).
- Other duties as required
What you need to have:
- Proficiency in email, word processing and spreadsheet software, as well as a working knowledge of presentation software.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- Microsoft Office
- Emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Internet Explorer, Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new concepts and skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to navigate a corporate environment.
- Business savvy with the ability to learn quickly.
