High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This is a working foreman responsible for assigning, monitoring, assisting, performing and inspecting work for a maintenance crew. This position reports to the Assistant Transit Manager for Maintenance. Applicants submit to drug and alcohol testing by the US Department of Transportation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Strong, demonstrable knowledge in the maintenance of buses:
Air conditioning - diagnostics and repair
Electrical and multiplex systems - diagnostics and repair
Powerplant and propulsion - diagnostics and repair
Air and hydraulic systems - diagnostics and repair
Knowledge in the use of computer diagnostic systems and trouble trees to test, troubleshoot and repair various systems
Physical Demands
Lifting, stooping, standing on ladders and platforms, work in confined areas, work in a shop with extremes of temperature (cold/hot). Driving.
