Description
Location: Chester, NY (In Person)
G. Schirmer & Associated Music Publishers is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our Orchestral Rental Department. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional approach to working with customers and colleagues. This position requires outstanding organizational, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of classical music repertoire, the ability to read music, and familiarity with the music publishing industry are valuable assets but are not required. A minimum of two years of customer service experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage a high volume of customer emails, including rental orders, inquiries, and correspondence.
Prepare rental quotes based on performance and order information provided by customers.
Process accepted quotes into rental agreements and distribute contracts electronically.
Provide customers with prepayment instructions and payment information when required.
Maintain accurate order records and provide timely customer updates throughout the rental process.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Process rental orders received from agents and partner publishers.
Maintain accurate customer contact information, order details, and account notes.
Enter sales orders and upload website-generated orders into the order management system.
Prepare and process customer invoices.
Requirements
Qualifications
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Strong computer, data entry, and typing skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Salary range $45-50k.
